A bit about PAWS...
The 10th of March is a very exciting date for Paws Pet Therapy as we will be holding our annual gala dinner event, 'A Dash of Purple'.
It is a momentous occasion that we look forward to with great anticipation as it represents not only a time to raise much needed funds but is also an opportunity to share the stories and celebrate the people who make the Paws Pet Therapy ‘tail’ so special.
This year our event will be held at the beautiful Oatlands Golf Club in Parramatta with an anticipated attendance of around 200 people.
Paws Pet Therapy is a registered charity which recruits, trains and supports volunteers and their best furry friends so that they can visit facilities from nursing homes and palliative care units to schools and libraries to share the love and magic of dogs as therapy.
Some of our volunteer teams even have their own ‘caseload’ of patients - sitting with clients each time they undergo their chemotherapy treatment. Others read with children who have literacy and confidence issues in schools and libraries - dogs proving to be non-judgmental reading buddies who obtain amazing results.
There are no boundaries to the amazing joy and comfort that dogs can bring to people in need.
For this amazing work to continue we need your support. If you are able to support PAWS Pet Therapy, your contribution, logo and a brief description of your donation will be promoted in a handout supplied to all guests at the event.
Your generosity today will assist in securing a bright future for Paws Pet Therapy. Dogs can help people in amazing ways. Help us, to help them - create magic.
