Some may remember Norman and me from our time volunteering with Paws Pet Therapy. We stepped back at the end of January when Norman was no longer able to continue as his health deteriorated.

In late August  we said goodbye to him. Despite every effort through medical checks and treatment, it became clear he was living with a form of MND, with no path to recovery.

Norman was only four years old, yet in that time he gave so much of himself to others. Whether visiting through Paws, meeting people wherever we went, or simply being at home with us, he carried a constant sense of joy — a big smile and an open heart that connected easily with everyone he met.

Even as his illness progressed and he lost the ability to walk, Norman never lost his gentle and happy nature. He remained calm, content and engaged with the world around him, continuing to bring comfort to those close to him.

This photo, taken just hours before his passing, reflects how we will always remember him — peaceful, playful and full of love.

Norman left us the way he lived: bringing warmth, comfort and quiet joy to those around him.

He will be deeply missed and always remembered with gratitude and love by our family and by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In Loving Memory of Norman
