Kirra

Beautiful Kirra, with her 2-legged offside Barbara, joined the Paws family in 2017.

An intuitive, loving Australian Shepherd, with a heart of gold, Kirra quickly won over the young people who attend the Shellharbour Adolescent Mental Health Unit.

Kirra encouraged her young clients to listen, to live in the moment, and to give and receive love. She enjoyed walks, brushes or just “hanging out” with her young friends.

Sadly, we lost Kirra in January.

Barbara feels a part of her heart went with Kirra, but feels joy in the knowledge that she and Kirra learnt and achieved so much together, and changed young lives.

Barbara is grateful for her journey with Kirra, that ultimately led them both

to Paws Pet Therapy.
