A slight PAWS for COVID-19
From the PAWS family to yours,
We truly hope that you are safe and well. We know you are all making difficult decisions in strange and unsettling times and we are too. Please be assured that despite the changes happening around us there is one thing that will remain constant at PAWS, the health and wellbeing of our volunteers, dogs, clients and staff.
For this reason, we have decided to press the PAWS button for a while. Our people and dogs are taking a well-deserved break but will be back bringing smiles to faces in a wag of tail. At this time we would also like to voice our gratitude to the healthcare workers who are putting their health on the line for us. THANK YOU
Now to a difficult subject, money. How does a non-profit survive in these unprecedented times? Please rest assured that we are already making the necessary moves to ensure we are here for the long term. Like a dog with a bone we are guarding the wellbeing of PAWS. If you can help, please do. But we understand if you can’t at this time.
We urge you to stay calm, positive and above all be kind to each other – pat a dog, spend time with family, take the time to look after yourselves and those around you.
At PAWS this is a time for creativity, a time to reflect and to become stronger than ever. While we can’t be out there up close and personal, it's all happening behind the scenes. Stay tuned to PAWS social media for a daily dose of the best medicine out there – dogs.
Above all reach out for help if you need it. Click here for a Helping Paw where you will find tips, support services and ideas to get you through the tough times. Stay informed and connected to your communities as best you can, we are in this together.
